acronis true image 6 & 7

    iam running a p4.1400.with xp home editin i have acronis true image 6.and iam trying true image 7.after i set up the image location and every thing iam told that it will approx.take 8 disks.and take 6 hrs.it ends up taking more than 16 disks and 10 to 12hrs.iam using cd-rw i know that they are suppost to take longer but from 6hrs to 12 hrs is this rite.eny help would be appreciated..:(

    That seems like a VERY LONG time for the backup! How big is your partition that you're backing up? What is the speed of the machine?

    hi john will.the size of the partition is 12.2 gigs but with compression it is 6.2 or sumthing like that the speed on my machine is pentium 4.1400.it realy does seem like a long time.when i format the disks iam using direct cd formating utility ther is a option to enable compression i have tryed it with and without it seems better without the compression enabled..
