Acronis True Image 10 , build 4940, has been updated to work with Vista.

I have successfully Backed up (Imaged) Vista from one drive .. to an external HD …
and restored it to another drive without the Vista winload.exe. errors.

I see that Acronis True Image 9.1 WS build #3886, 2007-02-06 also claims to have been upgraded for Vista. :)

Have had no problems with the 9.1 version making and restoring images. Done it at least a dozen times so far.

Obviously, Acronis felt the need to upgrade something for Vista...

No doubt. I'm just glad my 9.1 version has been working to restore Vista images.
