I volunteer at a not for profit group. They use Act! 2000. The person running the database cannot remember the username or password for the database of donors. How can we get in? The database is on the main server so shutting down isn't really an option. No matter what we try, we get "Invalid User Name".
    Any suggestions?

Welcome to TSG. Besides suggesting that you (or the database person who forgot the login credentials), contact the manufacturer of the program, there really isn't anything we can do to assist you.

The User Name will usually be [Firstname Lastname] of the admin user.

The vendor no-longer handles ACT! 2000 password requests unless you are upgrading to the current version, but most ACT! Consultants can do it (as well as myself). There is usually a charge for this somewhere around $100-$200
