I've made a calculator in flash cs5. The display part of my calculator is a textbox that displays the answers, numbers etc and a white movie clip as a rectangle behind the textbox to make it look like a screen. I want the screen (movie clip) to change to green when the answer is a valid number but red for an error (NaN, e.g when you put two decimal places in a single number.) My problem is that it turns green no matter what the answer is.

My code is as follows on the equals button:

Code:
on(press, keyPress "<Enter>")
{
   calculate();
}

on(release)
{
 if(display.output=Number)
  {
  myColor = new Color(displayback);
  myColor.setRGB(0x66FF99);
  }

 else if(display.output=NaN)
     {
   myColor.setRGB(0xFF0000);
  }
}

I am currently not very good at actionscript so any help would be appriciated.
