    I have a Laptop and a Desktop.
The Laptop is a Toshiba and came with XP Home installed. (with Recovery Disk)
The Desktop has XP Home which I bought and installed.

I just bought XP Pro to install on my Desktop.

    My question is:-

Will I have a problem with Microsoft when I try to activate after
uninstalling XP Home from the Desktop and installing it on the Laptop??

    I hope this is clear!!

Not as long as the install is on Only One computer. You’ll need another license to have it on two computer.

Why do you want to replace XP-Home with XP-Home? That seems pointless, and you may run into issues with missing some of the laptop specific drivers. What do you hope to accomplish?

I wanted to get rid of all the Junk that Toshiba installs and start off fresh.
I have downloaded all the drivers from Toshiba which I think I'll require.

I might as well use my XP Home disk after I uninstall it from my Desktop.
    (if Microsoft will allow it)

I done the same with my toshiba satelite pro laptop, now runs tons better with all the crap removed, I did try to uninstall it 1st, but found out just as quick and a much better job to do new install, dont know what laptop you have, but best check on tos website as sometimes on certain laptops, drivers should installed in a certain order??, but not on mine. It will say on driver download page if this is required for yours.
