I'm running XP with SP2 on an emachine.
I appear to have activex and scripting programs running that I am not aware of. I regularly receive notice that a page can't open because my settings deny activex and scripting. I visited Symantec site for a free checkup, and followed instructions to allow such, and still can't get it working.
is there a way to find out what programs are doing the activex and scripting work that will not symantec site to work correctly?
    Thanks.

Thanks Arky for the quick response, but I have to be frank, I am extremely cautious about purchasing software until I know that it will do what I need for it to do.
I ran the sample tests, and it showed problems, but I don't know if that will cure my sickness. I have purchased software before, until to find out it was not going to help.
