I keep getting a box saying: your current security settings prohibit running activex on this page-page may not display correctly.
Could someone please tell me how to remedy this?

thank you

Depending upon the Internet Explorer version you are running, open the Internet Explorer. Select Tools from the menu, then the Secutrity tab. Click on Custom and browse to the ActiveX Controls. Except for the unsigned ActiveX and those marked as Safe (which for security reasons sould be disabled), select enable or prompt on every other radio button thereunder.

there was one button that was disabled:"don,t prompt for client certificate selection when no certificates or only one exists"
I enabled that one- I hope it does the trick.
Thank you for the quick reply

Following the previous process, select this time Trusted sites. You can add the site under this category or click on Custom. Enable everything therein with low safety, including "Automatic Logon with current username and password".

Do you have a Spam Blocker of any king installed in the computer?

Download Hijackthis:

Run this program and post a copy of the log here.

You have a pop-up Blocker. Lets test the computer with minimum programs running in the background. Run Msconfig. Deselect all programs from the startup tab, except for systray and Scan Registry. After restarting the computer, test.

You can check these programs throughout the following link. If the programs seems necessary, select it, otherwise just leave it unchecked.

http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php

If the issue returns after selecting one of these programs, that program is causing the problem and should be removed, if not needed by the operating system or an important application. Sometimes by reinstalling the affected application the issue can be resolved.
