I don't like seeing this happen to good software we have all trusted.
Good reading at the dsl site. I see in the first post where eburger68 said he asked...
Well the post/thread has been deleted from Lavasoft's forum.

Interesting. I would wait to see if lavasoft says anything in the next few days. I have AdAware Pro, I hope they don't kneel down to the scumware marketers. Lets see, I also have spysweeper, MS antispyware, spybot, am immunized with both spybot and spysweeper, run norton antivirus and zonealarm pro.

I am not even too concerned about it. I feel if one don't get the crap the other will. Another thing is program permissions in zone alarm. It has to ask permission to connect so I'll know it is there anyhow. If lavasoft continues to let spyware through I'll just uninstall adaware.

I have done some more reading. It seems the disclosure is now on the whenu program. It isn't silently installed and you agree to its installation. That makes for a fine legal line folks.

Well then we need to get a good "anti-do-not-like program" so we can still have the 'anti-spyware" along with the "anti-do-not-like program" That way if you goofed up and clicked yes on the install of some spyware that is not now listed as spyware you can still have a program to clean it up.

Scumware is scumware even if they tell you before it is installed.

Yes the pointing system is great but now the scumware is using it to get around it by just telling you they are installing it.
See this thread http://www.dozleng.com/updates/index.php?showtopic=4021 and then Post #10 and your see how they are using the TAC points to help them from being branded as spyware.

Seem that the TAC points system needs to be changed.

But Lavasoft has not sold out as we was all thinking so that is good, but it needs to fix the TAC points system.
