    Dear Tech Support Guys,
I own a Windows XP Professional machine that fell ill to AdStatus Services and wouldn't load the start menu or the office toolbar. I ran msconfig on the system and shut down the service and then deleted its file on the hard drive. The problem persisted. All the start menu shows is my wireless network monitor for the Linksys adapter I use. I then used msconfig to shut that down. Then after the system rebooted I searched and opened the wirless network monitor and all of the sudden the start menu loaded and showed my signal and the office toolbar finished loading. However, my Internet Explorer still said that it cannot find the server. When I shut down the machine then restarted it the problem was there again and when I tried to load the wireless network monitor it made an error sound and nothing showed. What should I do? I've run Adaware and I have reached the end of my patience with this problem. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    new.net http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html

    Run it

    http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

Check all instances of lsp.dll (and nothing else), and move them to
    the "Remove" pane.
    Then click Finish.

Print this and boot to safe mode

    Fix these with HJT

Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Delete these files

    :\windows\system32\lsp.dll

Of course you can. restart the system and at the very first black screen start tapping F8 at least every second - you'll see a balck and white menu should be option #3

I haven't deleted those files you told me to go to the Internet Explorer to get to and delete. Are they important since the system still functions normally now? Also I wanted to thank you and if you want I can offer you an invite to GMailif you don't already have an account and want one. Thank you again for your help, I was to the ripping my hair out stage of the problem when I asked for help.
