Just purchased Easy CD Creator 4.0. Would not recognise my CD RW AOpen CRW 3248.
Updated to Version 4.5 and same again.
    Updated AOpen driver
    Same again
    Anybody know why?
It also causes havoc with my sysstem when opened.
Have got Nero 5.0 to work eventually so, strictly speaking, I should dump the Easy CD Creator. Could they conflict?

The packet writing components can conflict. Uninstall either DirectCD or InCD. You can usually have all the mastering software you want.

You “purchased” EZCD 4? I think EZCD5 came out about the time of the 12X burners. They don’t update them forever. EZCD4 is not and will not be updated to WinXP. And XP is older than your burner. If I read the Roxio supported burners list correctly, you need version 5.1a of EZCD or newer for your burner. http://www.roxio.com/en/jhtml/extranet/driveid/html/A.html
