I've been looking at these adapters that adapt a PS2 mouse and keyboard to a computer's USB port, the kind that do both devices to one USB. All the reviews I read are very mixed. It sure would be nice if I could find one that had consistently good reviews from users.

    I want reliability.

    Suggestions appreciated.

    Intended Use:
Just in case anyone would know why it might make a difference, I have a smart KVM switch I use on my workbench. I am beginning to occasionally get computers for service that have no PS2 ports. I want to use this adapter to substitute for the PS2 ports these computers don't have.

Please take the time to read up on googles advanced search options.
There are these things called wild cards that could provide usefull information to you in the future. It allows you to only search cirtain parts of the documents and will save you heaps of time looking for these little bits of information that no one in their right mind would wast their time looking for if the user can do it himself in about fifteen minutes. Given that he understands how to use google at an advanced level.
