Adapting SATA board to PATA hard disk

    When using one of those adapters that allows one to connect a PATA hard disk to board with only SATA connections, how much loss in data transfer rate is there?

    The answer to your question is NONE ! You are relegated to the speed of the slowest device and in this case its the PATA Hard drive.
