I no longer have the option to uninstall programs in the add/remove programs option in control. The only things shown in the window are

'installed on' and 'date'. How did this happen and How can I restore the uninstall option?

I tried both links and fixes and neither worked. Is this a symptom of a larger computer problem such as malware?

I tried the Reg fix recommended in one of the programs which didn't restore the ability to uninstall in add/remove programs in control panel. I also tried the other fix which was to change the values in the registry for two selections from 1 to 0 and this also did not work. Idon't know if this means anything but the program icons seem to have changed in the add/remove window for installed programs.
