    its callled spyware
and from looking at ur add/remove i can tell you have quite a bit

    Follow these:

Before doing anything turn of system restore
My computer > Control Panel > System > System Restore Tab > Check Turn off system restore on all Drives

When your done dont forget to turn it back on

1)Go to Online Av Scan And run a free anti-virus test
    1a)reboot

    2)Then dowload ad-aware
    Ad-Aware
Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by clicking on "Check for updates now", connect.

Click on Start, Use custom scanning options, Customize.

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"

    "Scan within archives"
    "Scan active processes"
    "Scan registry"
    "Deep scan registry"
"Scan my IE Favorites for banned URL"
    "Scan my host-file"

    Click on Tweak,
Select scanning engine and click on "Unload recognized processes during scanning"
Select cleaning engine and click on "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot"

Then click "proceed" to save your settings.

    Click on Next

Run the scan and fix everything.

    2a)Reboot

3)Then get Spybot S&D to clear remaining spyware.

    Download link here:
    Spybot

Fix everything SpybotSD labels in red, and immunize.

    4)Then download Spyware Blaster
    Spyware Blaster
to prevent future spyware/ad-aware make sure u update weekly

    5)Then after reboot:

6)Also run CWSShredder to remove Variants of the CoolwebVirus
get it Here Note: Make sure to have all windows closed except for CWSShredder.
Run the program and let it do it's thing. Make sure to click on "Fix" and not scan only.
    6a)Reboot.

7)Download 'Hijack This to its own folder Get it Here

Unzip it to a permant folder on your comuter Like My Documents in a folder called HijackThis, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, load it in Notepad, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet

After we have Told you what do delete and you have closed all explorer windows and deleted the necessary HijackThis parts.
Please Download this tool called About Buster from HereUnzip it to your desktop and run it after you cleaned your HijackThis log. Make sure you dont open Internet Explorer untill after you run this tool.

I have Adware SE Personal, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, Spyware Quard, and McAfee Virus Scan, and Hijack this. I ran all of those posted my hijack log and it was clean. Then I was told to run RAV Antivirus Scan online, and it found some stuff(are you familiar with that one). I didn't check Auto Clean before I ran it, not sure if I should have or not, so I don't think it took care of what it found...???

Howdy, Trtlgrl2 78, You might also want to run WinPatrol, which tells you what is running in your startup list and what can be safely removed. The mysearch bar stuff is usually malware. What is this hijackthis? Is it a computer essentail? Never heard of it until I came to this site.
