Add Sounds to Applications

I want to add Open/Close sounds to the various applications on my computer - such as WordPerfect, Excel, PhotoShop. Adding the applications to the registry and applying sounds through Sounds & Audio Devices doesn't seem to work.

Got any ideas?

I'm running XP Media Edition 2005.

I'll also ask someone else about this one, to see if they have any ideas
