    Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about adding more memory to my computer. I have this memory in my computer now.

CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Since memory is rather cheap now I found this and wonder if it's compatible with my memory.

OCZ Performance Series 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail

    Thanks for any help
    J

you can sometimes mix and match different brands of memory and have it work just fine ...and other times "not so much"..the safest way is to stick with the same brand with the same latencies...IE: 2.0 or 2.5 and the absolute best way is to buy them all at the same time as Matched sets

Better yet go to www.corsair.com and find the right models to match your system then buy them anywhere. With DDr ram systems are getting fussier and fussier and I would not mix brands at all.
