Adding Printers to AD/Group Policy

My company is pretty far behind so bear with me. I want to setup AD/Group Policy to automatically deploy printers to a computer based on the computer/user. Does anyone know of a good reference sheet or website that would help assists me with this task? Or could you lend your expertise? I have never done it nor has anyone else I work with. I just do not want to spend the night here trying to fix a screw up!  Right now, we just add the printers to the computers as needed and we get by. There are three of us managing the entire company to include 4 offsite locations. However, we are trying to get the company off its butt and get things to the way they should be. We are in the process of creating a new print server and would like to have the printers automatically deploy instead of having to manually install each printer to each computer. Plus it just makes since. Thanks in advance.

PS.. We are on Server 2003 R2
