Is it ok to have two different size memory sticks in at once? Say one with 256mb and another with 512mb? Thanks. B-72

depending on the motherboard, if it`s a dual channel support motherboard, you should only use matched sticks in the correct slots for dual channel. Alot of people here seem to think that mixxing size and speeds of sticks is 'okay' to do, I would never do it, I think your only asking for trouble as the motherboard won`t know which settings to use for two diffrent sticks. It may work fine, it may be unstable as heck or may not even boot.

It might be best to just track down the specs of your motherboard, do you have a make and model # of it??
