How do I move my Thunderbird address book to Outlook Express? I have tried a direct import, which does not work. If I convert the book to a .csv file the file comes up empty.
Ironically, the address book was originally created in Outlook Express and imported successfully (pretty much) iinto Thunderbird, but I cannot get it to go in reverse. Thanks for any advice.

    Hi fpat

First Export the Address Book from Thunderbird to the Desktop.
    Tools > Address Book
If you have created more than one Address Book, select the one you want to Export.
    Tools > Export
Save the file as an .ldif file to the Desktop.

Open Outlook Express and Import the Address Book,
File > Import > Other Address Book

Select LDIF - LDAP Data Interchange Format
    Click Import

The Address Book should be Imported.

Let us know if that works for you or not.

Thanks very much!! It worked like a charm, although there were some complications: The address book was on the drive of a laptop which lost its motherboard. I was able to access the drive with a cable adapter, but had difficulty running Thunderbird from it (it kept trying to run from Thunderbird on the C drive). I finally removed the C-drive Thundrerbird, and things went pretty well from there on. I am truly grateful for your solution, having spent many hours driving myself crazy trying to figure it out.
