I have a NIVIDIA RIVA TNT2 MODEL 64P monitor with Windows XP installed. The brightness, color etc. on the monitor seem to be at the max but all images/pictures/movie files etc are very dark. Is there any other way to adjust the brightness on the monitor?

I think that's just your video card type. If your monitor is old and this has been gradually getting worse then it could be going. You can usually adjust the brightness with your video card settings.

Right click desktop, choose properties, settings, advanced. You may have to try a few of the tabs to find the controls.

Another thing you can do to rule out a the monitor is to check to see if any pins are bent/missing from the monitor plug that goes to the back of the computer. And, to plug the monitor into another computer (desktop or laptop).
