I am using my other computer to get help.

I installed Vista to upgrade my computer. But I didn't like it because all my other stuff was on the Old XP. So I want to change back. I clicked on use the earlier version of windows. And it took me to the Recovery Console . Then it told me what database thingy to choose, It said 1. C;/Windows. So I chose that. And then it asked me for an Administrator password! I have no Windows XP CD.

    1. How do I uninstall Vista?
    2. MAINLY - Where can I find or reset my Administrator Password?

Please help so I can get my computer back.

    Cheers Calum

Not sure about uninstalling Vista. I have a volume license copy, but refuse to use it for another 3 years (except to play Halo2 when it comes out).

For the admin password you should go to computer management, expand "Local Users and Groups", click users, right click Administrator and select "Set Password".

    start > run > compmgmt.msc

i suppose I shouldn't call it the start button. But you know what I mean.

OK I typed in lusrmgr.msc and it came up with this message.

You are using Windows Vista Premium. The snapit may not be used with in this version of Windows?

    Anybody?

Setting the Administrator account password in Windows Vista will not help you return to XP. Did you perform an upgrade to Vista, or did you do a clean install? If Windows Vista is not in Add/Remove Programs to be "uninstalled", the only way to go back to Windows XP is to reinstall it, and since you don't have the CD, you'd have to purchase one.
