When downloading some software, I get a message that says I must log in as administrator. I am the administrator and logged in as such, but it will not recognize.
The only log-ins I have is administrator and guest.
Logging in as guest does nothing either.
I have access to all the administrator functions in the control panel.

Please help
Thank you

The administrator account on XP-Home is only accessable in safe mode.

There is the actual "Administrator" account, which as JohnWill pointed out is only accessible in Safe Mode.

Then there's your account that has Administrative privileges, basically the Administrator in normal mode and you said you also have a Guest account.
