Everytime I open up my Adobe Acrobat I get the 'ol "illegal operation and will be shut down" message. When I check the details,it says Acrord32 caused an invalid page fault in module<unknown>.I tried uninstalling it in "Add/Remove programs and reloading, but same result. In the search mode,I found a post that said to disable my antivirus[Norton 2002] before reloading.Should I try this?-- KenMt [newbie and 'puter dumb]

    HI - Welcome to TSG.

It is usually recommended to disable AV before installing if that is what you are asking. I wouldn’t open anything including a PDF file with the AV disabled though unless the file was on the hard drive and I had scanned it first.
