    My current laptop info:

    XPS M1530,
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002,
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz, 2001 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s),
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 3.00 GB,
    NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

I have read several posts that have a strong resemblance to my computer issue. I am an online student at University of Phoenix and started to notice that my Adobe pdf reading assignments would not open, and would show either an unknown download time or a fourteen minute download time that would freeze at different download percentages. This issue was specific to one class of the two I was enrolled in that had this issue; the other class did not seem to share this issue.

I recently downloaded Adobe CS4 Master Collection trial version to help with a class I am taking (web design). I noticed that my pdf assignments were opening up in Adobe Reader 8, so I downloaded Adobe Reader 9, and was notified within 24 hours of an update to 9.2 (I believe) that I allowed to update.

I have since uninstalled all adobe products and all programs that were installed in the last 30 day’s. I installed One Live Care for Windows Vista and this online scanner took over five hours and found 4 issue’s (I did not record them) that appeared typical and not very alarming. I also installed MBAM and received a few issues, and Super Antivirus Spyware, that also showed some issue’s still seemed typical and if removed the problem would stop. Since then all of the mentioned tools show no issue’s, but my downloads from Word docs, Software, and streaming video still take time to load if at all. I have tried to download the HiJack This .exe but Internet explorer8 keeps giving me the message below.

    [Window Title]
    Microsoft Windows

    [Main Instruction]
    Internet Explorer has stopped working

    [Content]
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

    [Close program]

I tried to download it in Firefox and received the Unknown Download Time, but eventually it did download for me I followed the post by cookie girl and have pasted my hi jack log below.
