Just loaded Premiere Pro 2 to my new Vista PC and everything appeared to go smoothly. The programme starts correctly and loads the working screen with time line but then stops responding giving no opportunity to import clips. It can only be shut down via Task Manager.

Can anybody suggest a solution please before I chuck it out the window.

    From the Adobe site:
    Not officially supported

Installs and runs with minimal known issues. Find out about any known issues by searching the Adobe knowledgebase at www.adobe.com/go/support.

    Enter the keyword Vista.

As you say - it is not officially supported.

Didn't find anything specific but it is probable that other programmes running in the background may cause a conflict.

:( It'll be a long slog turning each off in turn and re-booting to check which, if any, it is.

    Oh! The joys of computing.

    Anyway thanks for trying Kiwiguy
