adobe reader 7 freezes

ive tried to use this and everytime i try to open a pdf file it freezes and never opens ive uninstalled and then re installed and even tried a earlier version and i still doesnt work...and now i cant even open the adobe program at all....help please..ive also installed the updates and still doesnt work..please help

its xp home....and ive uninstalled and reinstalled adobe numerous times..one time it was up...but back to the same...will not open at all and if it does it will freeze thanks for the reply
