I currently have Adobe Reader 8.1.7. I want to update to 9.2. However, I know that I have to delete my old Reader in Add/Remove programs. However, I have 2 Adobe Readers-one can be deleted. The other, Adobe Reader 8.1.7 (CPSID-50029) cannot be deleted. How can I update this program?

In my experience updating removes the old one in the process.

I have found that the last 2 versions are too buggy when using dual screens and have changed to Foxit reader.

You shouldn't need to uninstall a previous version before installing the new version. I never have.

What versions are listed as being installed, and exactly what happens when you try to uninstall them? Adobe has its own support site and forums that can provide solutions as well.
