adssite, aupd.exe, and who knows what else...

    I recently started getting pop-ups from adssite and aupd.exe asks for permission to run sometimes when I open Firefox. I've noticed slower performance online.

    Please, somebody help before it gets worse...

    I noticed "browser optimizer adssite" in programs and features when i was uninstalling a program, and uninstalled it, but i googled it and read that adssite is not so easily defeated.
    I forgot the exact word for word, but it asked for a code or password to uninstall (which was provided in the same window) and it said nullsoft on the bottom. :confused:

    Every time aupd asks for permission to run, I don't allow it to. I delete it from the containing folder(Main folder/appdata/local/temp), but it always comes back. I googled aupd.exe and found that it, too, is not so easily deleted.

    I never use Internet explorer or any other browser.

    I have vista home premium 32-bit.
