I was wondering if anyone could advise me as to a good pc peripheral tablet that is affordable on a budget. I like the look of the wacom intuous but I just can't afford the price tag. Are there any other, cheaper brands that are worthwhile? I would want this tablet for cartooning, handwriting, and photo editing. It is just for fun so I don't need anything too fancy but at the same time I would like something that will look like what I would be able to do on a piece of paper. I'm not sure if that's possible with the cheaper ones I've seen. Also, I am unsure if I would be able to use a tablet with the current photo-editing software I have. I have Arcsoft PhotoStudio 5.5. It came free with my camera. You can't beat free...

The first one I tried ...and still have is an Aiptek 6x8 works fairly well to get a feel for the pen and using a tablet... the " wacom intuous" is the way to go if you want real control...

You can't beat free...
free can always be beat... all you need is cash... :p
