{Advice Offered} - 16-bit applications

    Is it possible to install sixteen bit applications on windows 2000?

    It totally depends on the program. Some program do not attempt to access the hardware directly, and these programs still work (though not brilliantly). Some programs (like games, system tweakers and defraggers, especially) attempt to access the hardware directly, and these programs will fail.

    What program are you trying to install/use, and is there no newer 32-bit version available?


    Another solution, is to run a VMware session and install Win95 or DOS 6.22 in it, and run your 16-bit program through VMware.
