We have a Xerox DocuPrint P1202 laser printer at our church. When we print contribution statments, the printer would get very hot. The print job is about 450 pages long.
The printer finally quit printing a few days ago, probably from getting too hot.

My question is: how do I choose a laser printer that will print 500 pages at a time without overheating?

I work in a print shop, and 500 A4 in one go will over heat your printer, have you checked to see if dust is clogging the fan , and that you have a good breeze of air coming out?, why not print them in batches of 50 or so, to let it cool down a bit. Most printers have a maximum expected print run per day, read the small print at the point of sale..:)

Thanks Pitzaguy! Sounds like 500 sheets in one batch is quite a bit to expect.
