Okay. Got a new PC here,

    Gateway GM5266E Media Center - Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13 GHz
    Manufacturer: Gateway Inc.

    Product Short Spec:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13 GHz)
RAM installed: 2 GB DDR II SDRAM
    Hard drive: 320 GB Standard
OS provided: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

Tune-Up Utilities says i am running on 32 of the available 64 bits,
and i should upgrade to Windows XP Pro, now i am a gamer, i do edit
movies on here, and i like fast and good performance. so would there be
any reason why i should choose XP pro over Vista?

If your asking if you should upgrade then you don't then you don't need to.

    Drivers right now.

    Thats the biggest.

You may get some performance increase by going to XP Pro, but not by going to XP x64.

Vista will be faster later (in theory) when DX10 and all the drivers are ironed out.

As with any new OS, there will be compatibility issues with many programs and games at first. Give it a couple of months, and most of these should be fixed. Game developers themselves would probably be making Vista-compatible patches anyway.
