Ok i am getting tons of ads on my computer cause i was stupid and DL something called Grokster. I havwe removed alot and i have Spy Sweeper and Norton 2004 but Norton cannot delete this 1 threat i have. So if any of you can help me out here id appreciate it. I have come here before for help and found everyone to be amazingly helpful! It tells me how to delete this but i am not confident as im not totally knowledged in this. The thing that needs removed is called Adware.IGetNet.
i am also having troubles with my internet connection and not sure why this is if its my computer or the ISP i use. I have called them and they are not completly sure but are gonna look into it i guess. Seems i am online and 20 mins later im disconnected. I inplug my cable modem and its fine for a good 20 mins again..oh well if someone could please help with the adware!
    Thanks
    Todd

go to http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

you have a lot of crud so

    First

    download AdAware 6 181
Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by using the

    "webupdate".

    Then ........

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"
From main window :Click "Start" then " Activate in-depth scan"

    then......

click "Use custom scanning options>Customize" and have these options on: "Scan within

archives" ,"Scan active processes","Scan registry", "Deep scan registry" ,"Scan my IE Favorites for

banned URL" and "Scan my host-files"

    then.........

go to settings(the gear on top of AdAware)>Tweak>Scanning engine and tick "Unload recognized

processes during scanning" ...........then........"Cleaning engine" and tick "Automaticly try to

unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot"

then...... click "proceed" to save your settings.

Now to scan it´s just to click the "Scan" button.

When scan is finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it.

    then
Download Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de

After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.
Next, close all Internet Explorer and OE windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot

remove all it finds that is marked in RED.

then post a new hijackthis log to check what is left

there will be some that need manually removing after adaware & spybot have done their things but they will get rid of most of it.

please reboot after running adaware & spybot before you post a new hijackthis log

run hijackthis, tick all below, doublecheck to make sure you haven't missed any, close all browser windows & press fix checked

reboot & delete the following files, you might have to do this in safe mode
    C:\WINDOWS\bs3.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Dml7OcUT.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\FcwRTI.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Lwhu0Uz.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\lffpx1l1n.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\acleedit.dll

then I would advise an online virus scan at one of the following sites, some of the entries look like viruses even though I can find no record of them

    http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

make sure you update spybot before running the scan, a new beta update came out today to deal with the newtonknows thing

open spybot, click on settings, then settings, then tick display betaupdates, then online & search for updates.
