for about a week now i have had this pop up that opens up IE and takes me to a site for Spyware Doctor and other similar products. when i close this it opens up another link to a site using Firefox. that site is also a link to "fix" my computer.
then when i close it i get a dialog asking me something about cleaning spyware on my computer.

i ran a Spybot S&D and AdAware scan. the Spybot scan did it's usual thing and cleaned up all the crap. but when i ran the AdAware scan it completed, but when it went to remove the adware it found a file that it couldn't remove.

    this file is vtutq.dll

everytime i go to rescan i get a error message regarding winlogon.exe. it looks like a memory error. it doesn't matter if i click the OK or Cancel button, or the x in the corner to close this dialog box the system crashes to a fatal error and i have no choice but to reboot.

a ss of the error dialog

the result of the AdAware scan, i can continue to scan but as soon as i click OK, Cancel or the x the computer crashes :(

every time i scan it adds itself another time.

    here is my HiJackThis log

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    I don't see any anti-virus software running.

    Load AVG http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ it's free.

Post a new log after that.
