Your CPU has a Passmark benchmark score of 623 and was released in 2010. But, my Pentium Core2 Duo was released in 2008 and has a benchmark score of 1499. Your laptop must be a real budget model.

That said, download MS AutoRuns and see what programs are starting up as you boot. Uncheck the ones you don't need. Don't touch the system drivers, as Windows needs some of them to boot.

Besides post #6 another issue might be low space on your HDD. You may need to make some more space on your HDD if possible.

Did you check between the fan and it's heatsink ? That area can get blocked as shown at the end of the video below :-

Also did you replace the thermal paste ? If not I recommend you do so.

It's about 8 years old and sold brand new for about $250.00, so it's a low-budget model.

It has a very weak single core processor - which is one reason why it has the performance of a turtle.

We also don't know what's installed in it and how well it's maintained, so that can also have a negative impact on speed and performance.

    Glad it helped.

It's a very common problem with older laptops and hard to see unless you split the heatsink away from the fan.

Is it faster getting to the Windows desktop now ?
