After upgrade problems

    hi everybody:
    About two days ago I upgrade my computer from Millenium to XP-professional.
    My dsl browser is acting really weird is said not connected to the net but I could move in the net with not problem , my router is off line , I have not sound went playing cds, my dvd decoder need to be to updgrade,I have call the link tech support but they tell to try their web site, but went I do, I have to switch the cables to connect the router, as soon as I do the,I get disconnected, can't somebody help me :confused: .

    You likely neen to install new XP compatible drivers for all the devices that are not working properly. You can got to manufacturer's website to download the latest XP drivers. Be sure to unistall the current drivers thru Add/Remove Programs or from Device Manager. Aldo be sure to download all the latest XP updates from Windows Update - this includes Service Pack 2.

    Upgrade's are rarely a good idea versus a clean install of an Operating System.
