Okay: I am still having problems. They seem to be compounding on me. I have an HP pavilion. Running W98, McaFee VSC6+ with weekly updating. Yesterday I ran scandisk and defrag. Updated VSC and have no viruses. Unfortunately I can not find my W98 cd. After getting everything back together I reset my internet connection ect. I am using IE5 as my browser. I log on using my username and password. I check the box that says save pasword and connect auto. The next time that I log on the net the username is saved but the password is not and the two afore mentioned boxes are not either. I also get the windows password prompt which states that if no password is entered I will not be asked for one in the future. Although I do not enter a W98 pasword I still get the prompt in the future.

    Helkp me.

A word of advice. If you want to have
    your browser automaticly connect to
the internet, you need to have the
    windows logon name and password.
