    Alright, so heres my problem...
When I try to install the regular AoE2: Age of Kings, it first stops at 88% but after a quick retry it gets past that. Then at 97% while coping a file called w3g.mp3 it stop's, and no matter how many times I retry or even restart my computer, or check my disk and clean it... It will not get past this. I keep getting the error message saying there was an error while writing this file. My disk isn't scratched from what I can tell...
Any idea's on how to get past this? Or if theres an alternate way to install? I've tried both the Typical and Full installations.

Have you tried installing it on a different computer? How much hard drive space do you have?

If you have another CD drive, stick it in there, if not, try it in another computer.

Well, I don't have another computer to try it on. And I only have one CD drive from what I know. Sorry for late responce, had some unrelated things going on.

Try copying the contents of the CD somewhere to your hard drive and run setup.exe or whatever the file for the setup is called. I'm not positive if this will work or not, but it's worth a try. You may have to burn these files to a new CD.

Alright, so basically I copy the install file to my Harddrive? Then try and install it from there?

Not just the install file, you'll need the whole folder. Right click on your CD drive and click Explore and you'll be able to copy all the files and then install it.

Ok, so I went to my Cd drive, right clicked Aoe2 thing and clicked explore. I don't know how to want me to copy the files... Right-click and click copy on the entire big folder. Or right click copy each individual folder?

Just create a new folder somewhere on your hard drive (like on your desktop) and highlight all of the files on the CD (ctrl+a) and drag them in.

Think I'm gonna give up. I copied the files to a new folder, and about halfway through of it copying them, there was an Error. I think it said Cylic Redundantary Error or something. Anyways, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

It's probably a problem with the CD then. If you want to give it a try, clean the CD off using either something from a store or homemade.
