    Hi there
I've recently had my machine re-built and it's flying. Hassle is there's an alarm coming from the box and I have no idea what it is for! It sounds like a police siren, quite piercing. Sometimes it starts when the computer is booting up. When this happens it may stop when the computer is booted, at other times it continues. It also can start randomly.
Any ideas on remedying this problem will be gratefully appreciated!
    Ta, Levi.

    Overheating??
    What are your temps?
Post your exact system specs ie board, cpu, brand and type of ram, etc.

    Hi there-
I suspect you're right there. How can I check temperature? I don't have machine details here, will have to post them when I get home from work. If I can isolate it as a temperature issue I can look into getting the machine de-dusted and/or installing new fans? Thanks - L.

If you just had the machine worked on, I doubt it is full of dust. More likely a hsf not installed correctly.

Next read your manual and find out where the hardware monitor [if used] is located in the bios.
