How can i tell if my agp slot is working or if it burned out. I had my case open and moved my monitor and it pulled my card out of the agp slot and it hasnt worked since . I am now using a ATI Radeon 7000 for now. Is there any kind of test to see if its burned out? Thanks

The only way I know of would be to put in an AGP card that you know works, and see if it works in that motherboard. If it doesn't work, then the AGP is shot, if it does work, then....it works :)

Is that Radeon 7000 PCI, or AGP?

Well, two things would have happened:

    1) You scratched the gold pins on the card > card dead
    2) You scratched the inside of the AGP slot > AGP slot dead

Check to see if your card has scratches on the pins, if so then that's more of the likely cause of your AGP card not working.

Well PCI goes into a PCI slot, and a AGP goes into a AGP slot so you have to put your card since its a PCI into a PCI slot...

Dariaze, you need to read all of the posts before making that statement. He/She had a AGP previously, the new one he/she put in is a PCI...

AGP is the brown one, there's only one of them, there's usually several PCI slots, which are usually white. The AGP slot is typically the closest to the processor, and it slightly offset from the PCI slots.
