How can I tell what type of AGP slot I have? (4x, 8x) It says AGP Pro slot, and that's all

You need to check your motherboard manual, as the "pro" refers often only to the power handling for the card. Probably AGP x 4, but not guaranteed as it can vary by motherboard type.
