When I try to send or receive an IM through AIM, I get:
AIM caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff7b9e7.
I have uninstalled, ran Ad-Aware and Spybot and reinstalled and I still have the problem. I looked at your other posts for similar problems and they all seem specific to different registry or "junk" problems. I downloaded the hijackthis app and this is my logfile:

    Welcome to TSG! :)

    You have no anti-virus protection.
    Get AVG (it's free): http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
    Install it and run it.

Then uninstall the following from Add/Remove Programs:

    MYWEBSEARCH
    VIEWPOINT MANAGER
    STARWARE
    WildTangent

    Download and run the following:

    Ad-Aware SE: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

Install the program and launch it.
First, in the bottom right-hand corner of the main window click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.
Then, in the main window: Click Start and under Select a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.
Then, deselect Search for negligible risk entries.
To start the scan, click the Next button.
When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and then click Next).

    SpyBot S&D: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html

Open Spybot Search & Destroy (Click Start, Programs, Spybot S&D (Advanced Mode).
Click online, Search for updates, Download all available updates.
Close all Browser windows, Click ''Check for Problems''.
When the scan is finished let Spybot fix/remove all it finds marked in RED.

    Reboot, post a new log.

    Download KillBox here: http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip
    Save it to your desktop.
    DO NOT run it yet.

With IE closed, run Hijack This again.
Put a checkmark on these entries and hit "fix checked":

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    O2 - BHO: OpenSite.CBrowserHelper - {30A56549-9D5B-4D34-AFA7-440A7F0538A9} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\OPEN SITE\OPNSTE.DLL (file missing)

Boot into Safe Mode (start tapping the F8 key at Startup, before the Windows logo screen)

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
Now put a tick by Standard File Kill.
In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time then click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file.
It will ask for confimation to delete the file.
    Click Yes.
Continue with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wbtfdlgc.exe

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\bsgeck.exe

    C:\PROGRA~1\WILDTA~1\APPS\CDA\CDAENG~1.DL

Note: It is possible that Killbox will tell you that one or more files do not exist.
If that happens, just continue on with all the files. Be sure you don't miss any.

    Exit the KillBox.

    Open My Computer.
Select the View menu and click Folder Options.
    Select the View Tab.
In the Hidden files section select Show all files.
    Click OK.

Find and delete this folder: C:\PROGRAM FILES\WILDTANGENT

Also in safe mode navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box.
The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options.
On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files".
Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK.
Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
    Click Apply then OK.

    Empty the Recycle Bin.

    Reboot, post a new log.

The hijack this fix checked went ok.
The killbox in safe mode said none of the objects existed.
I could not find the C:pROGRAM FILES\WILDTANGENT folder anywhere. I did show all files (I tried lots of things, but couldn't find anything like that)

    Here is my new log:

You are incredible! Not only does it work, but the error message that used to pop up every time it would boot up is gone. You saved me hours of troubleshooting, and I would lose some things I can't get back if I have to reload this machine. My kid uses this and a computer without AIM is a paperweight to a pre-teen. I just made a donation because this is a SUPER resource. I can't get this level of help through software or ISP support that I am entitled to. Thank you so much!

    You're welcome! :)

For additional protection, get Spyware Blaster:
    http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

It helps keep out the nasties from invading your system.
After installed, check and download any updates.
    Then Enable All Protection.
