Allow to act as server, or not?

Zone Alarm keeps asking if I want 'Distributed Com Services' to act as a server. I say No, but need to find out what it is so I can make the answer permanent.

It resides in C:|WINDOWS\SYTEM\RPCSS.EXE

Does anyone know what this application is, or does?
