So just for kicks i'm trying to install Vista on a virtual machine, just to play around and see Vista, but whenever i attempt to install it, i get this error. "the exception unknown software exception oxe0000100 occurred in the application at location 0x77836d5c" don't know if this means anything to anyone, but it's worth a shot.

Are you using Microsoft Virtual PC 2004? What are you system specs? Your computer needs to be powerful enough to run both Vista and the host operating system.

What version of vista do you have? If I remember correctly it is against the eula to run the home versions in a virtual environment. :)

Yes as i found it is against the EULA to run Vista in a Virtual environment, don't know specific version though, i only have the beta cause i'm not going to spend that much money on an OS I'm perfectly happy with XP right now. but, I'll try to install on a separate HDD, it failed but will try again. Thx.
