Hi

I have Vista home basic and everything has slowed down and virtually stopped - it takes around 5 attempts to start Vista from the ON button and I am lucky to be able to get one program working - Ewido picked up Adware.NavExcel but couldn't delete it and it will not start in Safe Mode and I do not have any restore disks.

It is doing my head in...

I appreciate anyones time in trying this out

One more thing - HJT said that it was "denied access to Hosts file" so that any fixes that are to be made may not take effect
