amd athlon 64 bit 3.2Ghz and Windows

Hi,
which win ver is recommended for a pc with an amd athlon 64 bit 3.2Ghz ?
(i installed xpHome & i have a lot of issues... :rolleyes: )

I have installed both home and Pro versions on AMD 64 bit processors and have seen no difference in performance. If it is a dual processor ( x2) Pro should be used.

What problems are you having?

I'm assuming a 3.2ghz processor is a single-core, so either would work fine.

everything is real slow...
menus are not responding, etc...

Did you load the chipset and other drivers from the disc that came with the motherboard?

have you installed graphic card drivers...windows uses the bogstandard vga driver when you install it...that would cause unresponsive windows etc...

i tested it with xpPro & there are no problems regarding the OS... :)
