AMD phenom ii processor windows xp upgrade

    hello

    am attempting to upgrade hardware while maintaining my current hard drive and programs. my current system is intel quad core and am upgrading to amd phenom ii x6 and new motherboard. seem to be having some issues and am wondering if anyone some advice or experience.

    It would help if you listed the exact specs of ALL of the hardware involved. Post the exact mb you currently have, the exact mb you intend on installing, exact ram you intend to install, etc, etc. This will help us give you better advise.

    Next issue would be if your current system is a big box ie dell, hp, gateway, etc. If it is, then you would also need to purchase a new copy of windows.

    Could you explain the issues you're having? Also, are you upgrading to a Phenom II X6 *AND* keeping Windows XP?
