    My computer will not get past this screen. I have done numorus setups, F1 to resume,but nothing happens. Can you help?

    Your computer seems to be failing at the POST (Power On Self Test). Your motherboard may be defective. I have requested this to go to the Hardware forum for more assistance.

    The above is correct; the board is not completing post. Do the following troubleshooting.

    1 System OFF pull the pw connectors from ALL drives; both hd and optical.
    2 Disconnect any usb device; ie printer, scanner, hub, etc. If your keyboard is usb, leave that attached.
    3 Remove any add-in cards such as sound, nic, etc. Leave your video card installed.
    4 Now pw ON the system and see if you get a display. You will receive an error msg to the effect that no os found, no bootable drive found, etc.
    5 If the board does complete post and you receive the error msg, shutdown and start connecting devices one at a time [pw on each time] until you find what is stopping post. If it does not post in the above config, then you will have to swap parts with known good units; ie pw supply, cpu, mb, and ram.
