After upgrading my memory, buying the upgrade disk, I'm still running Windows Media Center Edition. Why? I'm running on a gig and a half of memory, I got the Vista edition most recommended for my machine, that being the Home Premium edition. I tried the upgrade but failed miserably, so I decided to do a clean install, no big deal. Except for my video drivers don't seem to be compatible. I have a Nvidia GeForce Go 6100 chip. Of course with it being a laptop, its not changeable. Does anyone know where or how I should go about finding drivers that are compatible with Vista. I didnt spend 400 bucks just to see this stuff sit around my house. Any help offered is greatly appreciated.

    My system:

    Manufacturer: GATEWAY
    Model:N-10CPU:Mobile AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3200+
    Memory:1.38 GBHard
    Disk Drives:"C" - 42.30 GB Free (51.65 GB Total)
    "D" - 1.39 GB Free (4.22 GB Total)

Yes, I ran the adviser first, and they suggested the edition I bought.

Try www.driveragent.com There is a small fee but the proram scans your system and displays all the available drivers opposite your device. Then you can click on the recommended driver to download and install.

I've already unloaded vista though. So, I'm still stumped.

Rollin' Rog points you to the right place - and it does NOT have to be the Vista compatible ones.
I'm using the 82.10 version on my Geforce4 Go card.

I suggest that you do a complete re-install and use the driver that simpswr suggested, that is the correct driver for the hardware you have got. also check that all other drivers are up to date.

Success is mine..lol Vista is installed and running beautifully. It took some time for me to get it everything squared away, but as of right now, I am satisfied, and very pleased with the performance of my machine, how ever I do wish the processor was faster.
