Hi.
I know that when you enter a forum, they can detect your IP address. Is there any way, or program, that allows you to post and be in a forum while being undetectable? I don't like the idea of moderators being able to have access to my IP address.

Also, I'm trying to set up a network between my two computers at home. One is a Windows ME and the other an XP. The ME is on dialup and the other is not on the internet. I have purchased a CAT6 cable, and have connected them together, and "named" both. Where do I go from here?

Umerth,

Why are you so worried about "Mods" checking out your IP address. Posting in TGF while be "undetectable" sounds like....well..I'll let a "moderator" explain that to you.
As for your network......are you on a "router" of some sort ? XP should detect the "network" automatically.

Hi and welcome. IP Logging is found on all forums, I believe. I'd say if you have a problem with IP logging, you need to stay off the internet completely.

the only thing i can think of is anonymizer.com. and the networking issue...are you using a router? u could always try a cross-over cable between the 2 if u are not using a router.

Ditto. If you are that paranoid, you better make sure the CIA doesn't have your phone tapped as well or any other type of listening devices implanted in your house. Every website you go to, your IP address gets logged. It is not just forums.

google search for Tor.
